Decks & Outdoor Structures
Decks, covered porches and outdoor structures built with proper framing, fasteners and drainage for wet climates.
A deck in Western Washington lives under constant moisture. What separates a deck that lasts from one that rots is the framing detail — ledger flashing, joist protection, drainage and hardware chosen for wet conditions.
We build decks, covered porches, stairs and railings that feel solid underfoot and stay that way through years of rain.
Typical scope of work
- Footings and post placement
- Ledger attachment with correct flashing
- Pressure-treated framing with protective joist tape
- Composite or wood decking installation
- Stairs, railings and guard construction
- Covered porch framing and roofing coordination
Why It Matters
Benefits
Rot resistance built in
Flashing and joist protection are standard, not upgrades.

Proper joist spacing and blocking eliminate bounce and squeak.
Usable in the rain
Covered structures extend how much of the year the space gets used.

FAQ
Common questions
- Composite or wood decking?
- Both work here. Composite needs less maintenance; wood costs less up front. We will walk through the trade-offs for your deck.
- Can you replace decking on existing framing?
- Sometimes. We inspect the framing and ledger first — if the structure is sound, resurfacing is a good option.
- Do you build covered decks?
- Yes, including roof framing and the flashing details where the cover meets the house.
